hǎo de, qǐngwèn nín shì shénme shíhou mǎi de?
Okay, may I ask when you bought them?
L
I bought them last Saturday; here's the receipt.
Z
xièxie. nín dāngshí shì de shíhou méi juéde jǐn ma?
Thank you. Didn't you feel they were tight when you tried them on?

dāngshí hái xíng, kěshì chuān le yì tiān zǒulù, jiǎo dōu téng le.
They felt fine at first, but after walking in them all day, my feet started to hurt.

I see. So would you like to exchange them for a bigger pair, or get a refund?
L

If you have them one size bigger, I'll exchange; if not, then I'll take a refund.
Z
hǎo de, qǐngwèn nín chuān duō dà mǎ de?
Sure, may I ask what size you wear?
L
zhè shuāng shì sānshíqī mǎ de, wǒ xiǎng shìshi sānshíbā mǎ de.
This pair is size 37; I'd like to try size 38.
Z
Please wait a moment, I'll check the stockroom to see if we still have any. …Sorry, this color in size 38 is just sold out.
L
nà méi guānxi, nà jiù máfan nín gěi wǒ tuìkuǎn ba.
That's alright then; in that case, could you please give me a refund?
Z

Alright, the money will be refunded to your original payment method, arriving in about three to five days—please keep an eye out for it.
