Xiǎomíng, jīntiān zhè chǎng bǐsài nǐ tī de fēicháng nǔlì, wǒ dōu kàn zài yǎn lǐ.
Xiaoming, you played really hard in today's match. I noticed all of it.

Xièxie jiàoliàn! Wǒ zhēn de hěn xiǎng yíng, suǒyǐ yìzhí zài pīnmìng pǎo.
Thank you, Coach! I really wanted to win, so I kept running my hardest.
C
Nǐ de tàidù hěn hǎo, zhè yì diǎn zhídé biǎoyáng. Búguò wǒ xiǎng gēn nǐ liáoliao chuánqiú de wèntí.
Your attitude is great, and that deserves praise. But I'd like to talk with you about your passing.
X
Is it that my passing isn't very good? I feel there's a bit of a problem too.
C
Duì, nǐ jīngcháng zìjǐ dàiqiú dài tài jiǔ, duìyǒu dōu yǐjīng pǎo dào kòngwèi le, nǐ què méi bǎ qiú chuán chūqù.
Right, you often dribble by yourself for too long. Your teammates have already run into open space, yet you don't pass the ball out.
X
Wǒ zhīdào, kěshì wǒ pà chuán diū le, jiù zǒng xiǎng zìjǐ dàiqiú túpò.
I know, but I'm afraid of losing the ball on a pass, so I always want to break through on my own.
C
I understand your thinking, but soccer is a team sport—you can't win relying on just one person.
X
Nín shuō de duì. Nà wǒ yǐhòu yīnggāi zěnme liàn chuánqiú ne?
You're right. So how should I practice passing from now on?
C
During training, look up more—first see your teammates' positions clearly, then decide whether to pass.
X
Míngbai le, duō táitóu, duō guānchá. Kěshì wànyī háishì chuán diū le zěnme bàn?
Got it—look up more, observe more. But what if I still lose the ball on a pass?
C
Chuán diū le méi guānxi, guānjiàn shì nǐ yào gǎn chuán. Liàn de yuè duō, chuán de jiù huì yuè zhǔn.
It's okay to lose the ball on a pass—the key is that you dare to pass. The more you practice, the more accurate your passes will be.
X
Xièxie jiàoliàn! Xià chǎng bǐsài wǒ yídìng duō chuánqiú, hǎohǎo gēn duìyǒu pèihé.
Thank you, Coach! Next match I'll definitely pass more and cooperate well with my teammates.
