When I was little, my family was poor. We had no TV.

没有电视？那你们玩什么？
méiyǒu diànshì? nà nǐmen wán shénme?
No TV? Then what did you play?

我们在外面跑来跑去，还在河里游泳。
wǒmen zài wàimiàn pǎo lái pǎo qù, hái zài hé lǐ yóuyǒng.
We ran around outside, and we also swam in the river.

哇，听起来很好玩！你上学吗？
wā, tīng qǐlái hěn hǎowán! nǐ shàngxué ma?

上学，不过学校很远，我每天都走路去。
